For this DIY we need:
1. A piece of leather 2. A cardboard 3. A scalpel 4. A compass or a punch 5. A pencil 6. Yellow glue for shoes 7. Small tacks 8. Keychains with swivel connector 9. Sticky tape 10. A meter 11. A squad

Step 1
Firstly draw a rectangle on the cardboard of 42 x 8cm. Then, make lines of 2 and 5cm from the edge of the wide. Now, mark every 5 mm on the lines and on the bottom box and then cut around the edge. We already have our pattern guide to start making the tassel. You can change these dimensions as you please to make it longer or smaller.

Paso 1
Lo primero que tenemos que hacer es dibujar en la cartulina un rectángulo de 42 x 8 cm. Luego hacer líneas a 2 y 5cm del borde del ancho. Después hacer una marca cada 5 mm sobre las lineas y el borde inferior y luego cortamos el rectángulo por todo el borde. Ya tenemos nuestro patron guía para empezar hacer la borla. Puedes modificar estas medidas según tus gustos para hacerla mas larga o mas pequeña.
Step 2
Put tape in the pattern and stick it to the skin so that they don't move. Then, mark with the pencil the pattern on the skin, and with the compass point, drilled according with the 5mm marks of the 3 lines. Use the compass or the punch to mark the strips because marks will be visible.

Paso 2
Ponemos un poco de cinta pegante en el patron y lo pegamos a la piel para que no se nos mueva. Luego marcamos con el lapicero todo el contorno del cuadrado en la piel, y con la parte de la punta del compás, perforamos las marcas de 5mm de las 3 lineas. Utilizamos el compás o el punzón para no hacer marcas de lapicero en la tiras porque se nos van a ver.
Step 3
Using the points made with the compass as a guide, cut each strip of the tassel. Also, cut a rectangle of 3.5 x 0.7 cm which will serve as a junction between the tassel and keychain.

Paso 3
Tomando los puntos del compás como guía, cortamos todas las tiras de la borla. Además, cortamos un rectángulo de 3,5 x 0,7 cm que va a servir como union entre la borla y el llavero.
Step 4
For this step is important to know that yellow glue should be applied on the 2 surfaces and let them dry before stitch them together. Accordingly, double and paste the rectangle from step 3 in half and then stick it to one end of the tassel. Now distribute the glue around the edge of 2cm left in tassel (front and back), and when dry scroll all the way.

Paso 4
Para este paso es importante saber que la pega amarilla se debe aplicar en las 2 superficies y luego dejarlas secar antes de unirlas. Dicho esto doblamos y pegamos el rectángulo del paso 3 a la mitad y luego lo pegamos a uno de los extremos de la borla. Ahora distribuimos la pega por el borde de 2cm que dejamos en la borla (por el derecho y el revés), y cuando esté seco empezamos a enrollar hasta el final.
Step 5
With the meter, measure the perimeter of the tassel (this will depend on the caliber of the skin) and cut a rectangle of 2cm x # of perimeter you obtained. With the compass point, mark every 1cm to know where to put the tacks. Paste the rectangle to the tassel, put the keychain and that's all!

Con el metro medimos el perimetro de la borla (esto va a depender del calibre de la piel) y cortamos un rectángulo de 2cm x el # de perimetro que te dio la medida. Con el compás marcamos un punto cada 1cm para saber donde poner las tachuelas. Pegamos el rectángulo a la borla, luego ponemos el llavero y listooo!
